Iowa Fourth District Congressman, Steve King, has been named a Spirit of Enterprise Award recipient by the United States Chamber of Commerce. Thomas Donahue, the organization’s president, and CEO presented the honor to King during a ceremony on Thursday, April 4. “Every day, all across the country, America’s business owners and job creators serve their communities and strengthen their economies. We commend those leaders in Washington who recognize the vital role these businesses play and support them through commonsense, growth-oriented policy,” says Donahue. He adds King has a strong history of helping businesses, both big and small, to grow and thrive. King says, “It’s our duty to support those who create jobs and contribute to the economic growth of America. I am honored to be recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as a “Spirit of Enterprise Award” recipient for successfully working to get government out to the way of America’s entrepreneurs.” King was selected for the prestigious award based on his voting record during the 115th Congress.
