The City of Auburn has lifted a boil advisory for customers on the city’s water supply. The order, which ended early Tuesday afternoon, was issued Saturday morning after water services were shut off for portions of 1st, 2nd and Spruce Streets while water main repairs were completed. Officials were allowed to cancel the advisory after tests returned negative for any bacterial contamination. Community leaders thanked Auburn residents for their understanding and patience while the advisory was active.
