The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education will make their initial proposals Wednesday afternoon as they continue negotiations over contracts with the district’s employees. The Carroll Education Association (CEA) and Carroll Education Support Association (CESA) laid out their starting asks at the March 18 board meeting. Teacher associates, bus drivers and other similar positions make up the support association, and they have requested a yearly salary increase of four percent and discussions on DOT physicals and longevity benefits. The teachers union proposed a 3.25 percent total package increase. Both associations have requested a four-year duration for the contracts and the creation of a labor management committee. Negotiations begin at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday) in the Adams Elementary School boardroom.
