Jefferson Woman Accused Of Attacking Jailer And Scranton Man Who Parked Vehicle In Snowbank Face Charges

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office reports two people were arrested in as many days, one regarding an assault on a jailer and another involving a car parked in a snowbank. Twenty-six-year-old Haley Brown of Jefferson was taken into custody at approximately 2:35 p.m. Wednesday on a probation violation warrant. While being booked into the Greene County jail, she allegedly assaulted a jailer when they located a substance believed to be marijuana. In addition to the probation violation, Brown has also been charged with second-offense possession of a controlled substance, assault on persons in a certain occupation and possession of contraband in an institution. At approximately 12:53 a.m. Thursday morning, a deputy was dispatched to a suspiciously parked vehicle in a snowbank in the 1300 block of 190th Street. After an initial investigation, 36-year-old Bruce Greer of Scranton was arrested for second-offense operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.
