Nearly $5,000 in damage was reported Monday after a driver collided with the garage of a Carroll car wash. The Carroll Police Department was dispatched at approximately 4:33 p.m. to the Pit Stop Auto Wash in the 1400 block of Plaza Drive. According to an initial investigation, the driver of a 2013 Lincoln MKT, 91-year-old Glen Henry Neumayer of Carroll, was on the way to get his car washed and put his foot on the wrong pedal, which caused him to strike a nearby pole and the wash’s garage door. Neumayer reported minor injuries to his hand but denied medical attention. An estimated $5,000 in damage was reported in the accident, approximately $2,500 to the Neumayer vehicle and $2,500 to the car wash. No citations were issued, as the accident occurred on private property.
