The second installment of the monthly Carroll Chamber of Commerce Legislative Forums was cancelled due to blizzard conditions on Saturday, February 23. However, their Legislative Committee has rescheduled the event for Friday, March 8. Both area legislators, Senator Mark Segebart and House Representative Brian Best, will meet with county residents beginning at 4 p.m. in the Harold Bierl Community Room at the Chamber of Commerce Depot. They will provide opening remarks in the hour-long event and follow that up with answers to a few questions prepared by the committee. The floor will then be opened to the general public for their questions. Prior to this, KCIM will be featuring a live interview with Best on Friday morning during the 8 a.m. news hour. Tune in to 1380 AM or 95.1 FM to hear his thoughts on several pivotal pieces of legislation in the works during this year’s general assembly.
