A Carroll man has entered into a plea agreement for his involvement in the theft of an automobile, armed robbery, forcible entry and burglary charges on Halloween last year. Thirty-two-year-old Eric Paul Greteman entered into the agreement on Monday, which reduced a first-degree robbery charge to second degree and retained charges of theft in the first degree as a habitual offender and third-degree burglary. A hearing for his plea to be presented to the courts is scheduled for Feb. 27. The charges stem from incidents that transpired on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018, in which Greteman was accused of stealing a vehicle in Carroll, using it while committing a robbery at the Coon Rapids Country Store using a knife and then later that night using the same truck to ram the door of the BP Country Store in Glidden to steal energy drinks and cigarettes.
