The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) is reminding parents and guardians the deadline to file for open enrollment is rapidly approaching. According to school officials, applications must be submitted to the resident and receiving districts by no later than Friday, March 1. The deadline for children entering school for the first time as a kindergarten student falls on Sept. 1. Students open enrolling in ninth through 12th grade will not be eligible to participate in varsity contests and competitions for the first 90 days of the transfer. Families are reminded they are also responsible for transporting students to and from school. However, stipends are available for children with an individualized education plan (IEP) whose families meet income requirements.
