An icy alleyway resulted in a two-vehicle accident Monday in Carroll. At approximately 12:18 p.m., the Carroll Police Department responded to 1st Street, at the alley between Crawford and Whitney Streets. A 1995 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by 60-year-old Mark Lawler of Carroll, was southbound in the alley and unable to stop due to snow and ice buildup on the surface. He traveled into the roadway, striking the passenger side of a westbound 2011 GMC Acadia, driven by 33-year-old Casey Cook of Carroll. There was disabling damage to the Cook vehicle and only minor damages to the Lawler Blazer. No injuries were reported.
