The government shutdown has not changed any of the plans for an annual march that draws tens of thousands to Washington, D.C. The 46th annual March for Life event will take place on Friday, Jan. 18 at the National Mall, and, according to President of the Kuemper Catholic School System, John Steffes, there will be a contingent from Carroll making that trip again this year.
While there, the students will be participating in some projects aimed at helping others.
The march is the world’s largest pro-life event, with the stated mission to “end abortion by uniting, educating and mobilizing pro-life people in the public square.” The rally begins at noon with the march itself beginning at 1 p.m. The event will be livestreamed on the March for Life Facebook page, a link to which can be found below.
