Saturday’s snow is responsible for a two-vehicle accident at the U.S. Highway 30 and Griffith Road intersection on the east side of Carroll. At approximately 8:10 p.m., a 2002 Toyota Tacoma, driven by 25-year-old Ulises Oro Chinchilla of Denison, was westbound on 30. Chinchilla lost control of the vehicle on the slick roadway, ending up on the shoulder of the highway. He was struck from behind by a 2017 Kia Forte, driven by 24-year-old Christopher Weitman of Denison. The Weitman vehicle suffered disabling damage. There were no injuries reported and no citations issued due to the weather.
