The Jefferson Police Department is investigating a report from a resident who found stolen property at their home. On Saturday, Jan. 12, Laurie Higgins contacted authorities, saying she had located a washer and dryer and a sofa at her residence in the 500 block of East Monroe Street. The items were identified as being the property of Aaron’s Rent to Own in Shawnee, Okla.
