Funeral services for 86-year-old Elmer Gerdes of Manson will be Saturday at 10:30 am at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Manson with burial at-a-later-date. Military honors will be held at the church by the Iowa Army National Guard Funeral Honors Detail. Visitation will be at the church after 9:30 Saturday morning until time of service. The arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home. Elmer Gerdes is survived by his wife: Myrtle of Carroll…..a stepdaughter: Patricia Fricke of Carroll…..step son: Tim Pogeler of Lake City……5 step grandchildren….a brother: Donald of Pocahontas…..and a sister: Marlys Wiemers of Gilmore City.
