Authorities and a homeowner were surprised to find that a suspected trespasser was something much different. At approximately 11:18 p.m. on Sunday night, the Jefferson Police Department received a call from the 600 block of South Oak Street, with the resident concerned there was a trespasser knocking on the door of their home. When the officer arrived, he determined what they were hearing was a deer walking on the porch and causing a noise that sounded like knocking.
