A vehicle stolen out of Polk County was recovered and a Grand Junction man taken into custody for the theft. At approximately 12:44 p.m. Wednesday, a Greene County Sheriff’s Office deputy located the vehicle in the 700 block of Railroad Street in Grand Junction. Forty-nine-year-old Christopher Laurent was taken into custody and charged with third-degree theft. A woman at the residence, 48-year-old Beth Laurent was also arrested and charged with second-degree theft for property in her possession that was stolen from a Rippey residence on Dec. 10.
