A man accused of taking a vehicle from a residence in Carroll has been sentenced to suspended prison terms. On Monday, Oct. 1, 40-year-old Bryan Keith Gresham, of Carroll, plead guilty in Carroll County District Court to operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, an aggravated misdemeanor. A two-year prison sentence was suspended in exchange for his guilty plea. More than $800 in fines and surcharges were also suspended. The charge stems from an incident on July 12, 2017, in which Gresham took a vehicle from the 300 block of North Carroll Street and moved it to another property within the county. Gresham also plead guilty to failure to appear, a serious misdemeanor, for not showing up at an arraignment hearing on Sept. 28 at the Carroll County Courthouse. On that charge, he was sentenced to pay over $400 in fines and surcharges and a one-year suspended prison term. As a condition for a portion of his sentences being suspended, Gresham was placed on probation for two years. If ever served, the two-year and one-year terms will be served consecutively.
