The Lidderdale Fire Department is reporting that they will be flushing hydrants throughout Lidderdale for about an hour on Wednesday, Sept. 19. Flushings will be conducted between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. and residents could see a reduction in pressure and possibly some rust-colored water for a brief period of time, but the water is still safe to use. This procedure is routine maintenance to ensure water clarity and that flow is sufficient for the community’s general needs and in the case of an emergency.
