Carroll Police Chief, Brad Burke, says that the department has been following up on reports from residents that say they were followed throughout local businesses.
There are a couple of simple things everyone can do to ensure their safety when out and about.
Burke adds that you should inform the store employees about what is happening as well.
And he has some words of advice for when you are traversing through recreational areas or the streets of town.
People can also use route-sharing apps to help others know exactly where they are at all times. Burke wants to stress that there have been no reports of people being approached while on rides, runs or walks throughout the community, but that it doesn’t hurt to always be aware of your surroundings and to follow through.
