An Audubon woman was arrested this past Thursday on drug charges. The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office reports that 32-year-old Skyielynn Laverne Stephens was taken into custody at about 11:00 p.m. and charged with possession of marijuana, third or subsequent offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended. The charges stem from a traffic stop on Highway 44 outside of Kimballton, at which K-9 Axel indicated the presence of narcotics. Stephens was being held in the Audubon County jail on a $2,000 bond after an appearance before the magistrate.
