Former Coon Rapids resident, founder of the Raccoon River House concert series and a headlining artist, Chad Elliott, will be coming home for a special appearance this weekend. Elliott and his band, the Redemptions, have just dropped a new record,
“Rest Heavy,” which was recorded at the historically noted Sun Studio in Memphis, Tenn. On Saturday, from 7:30 p.m. to around 10 p.m., Elliott and the Redemptions will be sharing their bluesy and soulful rock sounds at the Raccoon River Social Club in downtown Coon Rapids as a part of the Raccoon River House concert series. These events give Elliott and other artists the opportunity to interact closely with their audiences at a more intimate venue. The event is open to the public and there will be an open bar and snacks provided. All that is asked is that each attendee bring $10 to $20 to compensate the artists.
