Twenty-two Iowa 4-H programs are a little richer after Landus Cooperative distributed $22,000 from their Core Grant program. Each cooperative awarded $1,000 to their local 4-H, including Audubon, Calhoun, Greene, Guthrie, Sac and Carroll Counties. “As a cooperative, we are proud to support our community through the county 4-H programs,” says Landus CEO, Milan Kucerak. “Many of our farmer-members, employees and their families are involved in 4-H. Those programs play an important role in our rural communities because they focus on rural youth development and agricultural advancement,” Kucerak says. Nearly 85 percent of the counties in which Landus Cooperative does business participate in the Core Grant program.
