The Audubon County Road Department has reported that contractors will begin placing signage for work on Pheasant Avenue, east of Audubon, today (Monday), with construction getting underway tomorrow. Tuesday, crews will begin tile work and then rubulization of the road will be done on Wednesday, Aug. 1. For those not residing in the area, a detour has been established on U.S. Highway 71. The seven-mile long project from 120th Street to 190th Street will have flaggers and pilot cars as needed for local traffic and signs posted for others to be able to detour around construction. The resurfacing is anticipated to take until Wednesday, Oct. 10.
