Jefferson Man Arrested After Wandering Through Yards And Peeking In Windows

Several Jefferson residents contacted authorities about a man wandering through their yards and peering in windows at different times Monday. The first report was called in at approximately 8:05 a.m. when a resident in the 100 block of West Wilcoxway told a Jefferson officer that a male subject wearing an ankle bracelet was in her yard. About a half hour later, another homeowner in the 100 block of Sunset Drive reported a man peering into her windows. And finally, at approximately 1:03 p.m., another report from the 100 block of Wilcoxway came in when a man found a pair of sandals behind his garage, believing they may belong to the wandering male. The officer conducted an investigation, which led to the arrest of 37-year-old Adam Michael Winger of Jefferson. So far, Winger has been charged with trespassing, a simple misdemeanor, but other charges are pending.
