It is the 4th of July, time for friends, family, hot dogs and firework presentations. The City of Carroll has been working overtime to make sure that residents and guests to town for the holiday are aware that even though sales are allowed within the city limits, the use is currently banned and considered an illegal activity. As of last week, Chief, Brad Burke, says things had been pretty quiet.
However, authorities will be cracking down on anyone who sets them off in town.
The enforcement of the ordinance is for the safety of everyone involved.
Burke says that there has been one reported incident that involved an injury from fireworks in the past couple of weeks near Arcadia.
