The Jefferson Police Department is requesting a warrant for a felony charge after test results were received back from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Laboratory. They are seeking a warrant for the arrest of 38-year-old Priest Delray Wilson of Fort Dodge, for possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, third or subsequent offense, a class D felony. The charge stems from a traffic stop on April 23 on Highway 4, near the intersection with 220th Street. During the stop, an officer smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and conducted a probable cause search, at which time a green leafy substance was located and seized.
