Local emergency crews responded to the scene of an accident near the intersection of Highway 30 and 6th Street at approximately 12:05 p.m. Thursday afternoon. Upon arrival, a witness told authorities that 44-year-old Timothy Wade Strabley of Carroll had been driving a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado west on Highway 30 in the north lane when for unknown reasons he went off the road and into the Carroll Car Credit Company lot. He then crossed the street and stopped in the U.S. Post Office parking lot. Strabley struck a fence, a parking sign and three parked vehicles during the incident, a 2011 Ford Escape, a 2005 Ford Taurus and a 2015 Ford F-250. There was an estimated $2,000 in damages to Strabley’s Silverado, $600 to the Ford Escape, $4,000 to the Ford Taurus, $2,200 to the Ford F-250 and $100 each to the fence and parking sign. Strabley was transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services for treatment of suspected minor injuries. He has been charged with failure to maintain control, driving while suspended and failure to provide proof of financial liability.
