Trial Scheduled For Carroll Man Accused Of BB Gun Vandalism

A Carroll man accused of causing thousands of dollars in damage with a CO2 BB gun has pled not guilty. Twenty-four-year-old Duy Quang Vo entered his written plea Wednesday in District Court for Carroll County. He is charged with second- and fourth-degree criminal mischief, a class D felony and serious misdemeanor respectively. Vo is accused of using a BB gun on Feb. 26 to destroy a glass door and again on March 6 to cause $2,200 in damage to a vehicle parked in the Pella parking lot. Authorities are also investing his involvement in a string of vandalism that occurred in Carroll over the last year and a half. A jury trial has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 22 at the Carroll County Courthouse. Vo faces up to five years in prison and $9,375 in fines if found guilty of the charges.
