A parked car sustained damage Friday after being struck by a truck hauling a livestock trailer. At approximately 1:05 p.m. April 6, a 2005 Ford F350 pickup with trailer, driven by 56-year-old Dwight Allen Gruhn of Manning, was pulling out of a parking space in the 500 block of 4th Avenue in Dedham. Gruhn cut the corner a little too close and the trailer struck the rear driver’s corner of a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan that was legally parked on the street. The Grand Caravan was unoccupied and there were no injuries reported in the incident. There was an estimated $5,000 in damage to the Dodge and an estimated $300 to the livestock trailer.
