St. Anthony Regional Hospital is partnering with the Iowa Donor Network to inspire Iowans to consider the gift of life. April is National Donate Life Month, and the two organizations will celebrate transplant recipients, shine a light on those waiting to receive a transplant and honor donors and their families. The Donate Life flag will be flying over the St. Anthony campus throughout this month to serve as a reminder of the need for organ donation. They will assist residents at a special registration event Thursday, April 12 in the hospital atrium. Volunteers will be on hand from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to provide more information on becoming an organ donor and to assist with the registration process. “It is our goal to educate our communities on the importance and impact of organ donation,” says Sara Roth, Emergency Services Director. “The act of registering to become an organ donor is the first step in saving a life.”
