A young woman struck a Carroll Police Department cruiser on Wednesday, but luckily it only resulted in minor damage. At approximately 9 a.m., the report came in that a 2008 Ford Taurus, driven by 28-year-old Amanda Lynn Longley of Carroll, had backed into a parked car in a lot on Grant Road. The vehicle, a 2017 Ford Explorer police unit, received an estimated $1,000 in damage to the side panel, and there was only minimal damage reported to the Longley vehicle.
