This coming Saturday, the Carroll Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the next Legislative Forum at the Breda Shelter House. In the past week, people from all age groups have banded together in discussions on both sides of the gun issue after the tragic school shooting in Parkland, Fla. Executive Director, Shannon Landauer, says she does expect Senator Mark Segebart and House Representative Brian Best to be fielding some questions related to this Saturday morning.
Landauer says that it is powerful to see how this is hitting people across all demographic categories.
The Legislative Forums are structured for the public to be able to ask questions during the hour-long session. They get underway promptly at 10 a.m. with opening comments from both legislators and then they are asked two questions that have been drafted by the Chamber’s legislative committee before the floor is opened to attendees.
