An additional drug charge was filed this week against the Rockwell City man accused of trying to sell narcotics in Carroll last month. Twenty-six-year-old Jordan Oneil Strickland was formally charged Tuesday with second-offense possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor. The charge stems from an incident on Jan. 14 at the west Casey’s on Highway 30. The Carroll Police Department responded to reports of an individual, identified as Strickland, acting erratically. He was found to be in possession of a bag of marijuana and arrested. Strickland is scheduled to appear for his arraignment on Thursday, March 22 in District Court for Carroll County. Only a week after this incident, Strickland was arrested for public intoxication. Officers seized a substance believed to be cocaine and sent it in for testing. Additional charges are pending those results from the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) laboratory, which could take up to four month.
