Senator Chuck Grassley has announced a new State Director, Carol Olson of Des Moines. Olson will represent Grassley and oversee the work of regional directors and constituent service specialists in his offices statewide. She will begin this new position on Jan. 22 and will be based out of Des Moines. “My staff is vitally important to making the process of representative government work,” Grassley says. “Carol’s leadership will help to continue the tradition of outstanding casework services and direct liaison with the community leaders in every county in Iowa along with the larger cities.” Olson has been Deputy Secretary of State for Elections in Des Moines for the past three years, a role she previously held for Secretary of State, Paul Pate, from 1995 through 1998. She has also spent 12 years working for Thrivent Financial.
