The Carroll Chamber of Commerce has just unrolled a new marketing campaign, #ChooseCarroll, and are now reporting that they have had a run on the sale of Chamber Bucks, with nearly $10,000 worth of the community currency sold during their Holiday Chamber Bucks promotion. Executive Director, Shannon Landauer, says the campaign and promotion are just a couple of ways that the Chamber is working to ensure dollars are staying right here with their members. The Holiday Chamber Bucks promotion was held Thursday and Friday, Dec. 14 and Dec. 15, and anyone purchasing $50 or more received a free #ChooseCarroll t-shirt. “Up until our promotion, we hadn’t made our shirts available to the public, so this was a nice incentive for anyone looking to buy Chamber Bucks for the holidays,” Landauer says. She adds that when you spend $100 in Carroll, $68 dollars of that stays right here. On an annual basis, the Chamber sells more than $50,000 in Chamber Bucks. Purchases can be made during the Chamber’s regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
