Greene County Dispatcher Jobless After Ignoring Report of Deputy Who Was Potentially Driving Drunk

Earlier this week, television station KCCI reported that a Greene County Law Enforcement Center dispatcher resigned his post before being terminated after failing to follow up on a call that came in on September 28. Pierre Kellogg took a 911 call from a member of the Wild Rose Casino Jefferson staff at around 2 a.m. that morning, that a patron who was potentially drunk had gotten into a vehicle and left the premises. After receiving the license plate number, it was clear the driver identified is Greene County Deputy, Dave Kersey. Instead of following protocol and logging the call into the computer system and following up with a check, Kellogg did nothing. He later admitted wrongdoing prior to his resignation, but Greene County Sheriff, Jack Williams, could not confirm Kersey’s involvement. It has been reported that Sheriff Williams informed all of the employees that malfeasance will not be tolerated.
