The Carroll County and Sac County Conservation Boards have announced they are now taking registrations for their fifth annual Minnesota Avian Adventure. Travelers begin their four-day journey to the Sax Zim Bog, which sits about 70 miles from the Canadian border, on Friday, Feb. 9 and return Monday, Feb. 12. The more than 100 square miles of bog, aspen uplands, rivers, lakes and meadows is home to more than 400 different species of birds and wildlife, making the trip great for birders and naturalists alike. Space is limited to about 35 participants.
