Court Date Set For Jan. 2018 For Glidden Man Accused Of Causing Thousands In Damage To Road Signs With BB Gun

A court date for a Glidden man accused of causing thousands of dollars in damage to road signs in Glidden has been scheduled for early next year. The case for the felony second degree criminal mischief charge against 37-year-old Andrew James Tuel will take place in Iowa’s Second Judicial District in Carroll County on Jan. 9, 2018. The charge against Tuel originated from his arrest on Aug. 12 after he admitted to using a BB gun to shoot multiple road signs near the intersection of Nevada St. and East 1st St. Damage to those signs is estimated at nearly $3,300. A class D felony is punishable by up to five years’ imprisonment and a maximum fine of $7,500.
