Rockwell City Haunted House Using Scares To Benefit Area Schools

Rockwell City’s scariest attraction, the haunted house on 3rd Street, is opening its doors to Halloween fans tomorrow, Friday the 13th. The eight-year-old attraction is once again operating as a non-profit by collecting items for local schools. Manager, Nicholas Kozal, says the show gets underway Friday night.

Admission for the “lights on” portion of the tour is $3 per person, a canned food item or kid-sized hats or gloves. The “lights off” segment is $5 per person and ends around 10 p.m. each night the house is open. Some of the money goes to support after-prom for area schools and food and clothing collected helps local elementary students. Kozal says giving back feels great, but the staff enjoys giving people a scare too.

The Rockwell City Haunted House, located at 124 North 3rd St., is open each Friday and Saturday before Halloween. They will also be open on Tuesday, Oct. 31 for the holiday.
