A Carroll man was arrested Tuesday morning after slashing the tires of a vehicle over the weekend. At approximately 8:57 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23, 27-year-old Desmond Tyrone Edwards, Jr. entered the Burke Inn and Suites parking lot at 1225 Plaza Drive. Edwards ran up to a parked car and used a sharp implement to put holes in three of the four tires. After damaging the tires, he fled the scene. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $230. The Carroll Police Department was contacted regarding the incident and reviewed surveillance cameras which showed Edwards performing the act. Edwards was arrested Tuesday morning and transported to the Carroll County jail. He is charged with fourth degree criminal mischief, a serious misdemeanor.
