Two Carroll Residents’ Vehicles Damaged In Chain-Reaction Accident

A chain reaction accident damaged two Carroll resident’s vehicles on Monday in Glidden. At approximately 3:47 p.m., the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of Highway 30 and 9th Street. Sixty-four-year-old Victoria Lee Lengeling had been westbound on Highway 30, when the vehicle in front of her turned onto 9th Street. Lengeling told the deputy she was forced to hit her brakes, and this caused the vehicle behind her, a 2015 Ford Superduty F250 driven by 45-year-old Kevin Michael Koenck, to do the same. The Koenck truck hit the back end of the Lengeling Tahoe, resulting in an estimated $4,000 in damage to the pickup and $3,000 in damage to the SUV. Koenck was uninjured. Lengeling complained of possible minor injuries but was not transported for treatment.
