Four people have been arrested after area law enforcement agencies executed two search warrants Monday night in Gray. Thirty-three-year-old Brandon Donald Nichols and 26-year-old Samantha Jean Barlett have been charged with possession of methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor, possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor, and two counts of child endangerment, aggravated misdemeanors. Fifty-one-year-old Rodney Ryan Nichols and 49-year-old Jessica Lorraine Nichols have been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a public park, which moves the possession charge into a felony, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of prescription drugs, a serious misdemeanor, and child endangerment. The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by K-9 Axel, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol. This remains an active investigation.
