McFarland Clinic of Carroll has announced they will be opening an Urgent Care Clinic Nov. 1 at their current location on Grant Road. The Urgent Care Clinic will be open seven days a week, Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. McFarland providers will see patients of all ages, including infants and children, for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. In addition, work-related care, such as drug screens, DOT physicals and work injuries will be available. “We have been working on providing additional access and health care services for Carroll and the surrounding communities for a number of years,” says Dr. Greg Perkins. “Opening an Urgent Care Clinic is in response to the needs of our community and requests from patients to provide this level of service locally.” Perkins adds that this is a cost-effective option for patients as the charges for an urgent care visit are the same as a physician’s office visit.
