This Year marks the 60th anniversary for Carroll’s Band Day, and the Carroll Chamber is hoping to have a banner turnout for Saturday, Sept. 30. Program Director, Sarah Foley, says they are continuing to take applications for participants.
Foley says it is a simple process of filling out a form, or even just calling the Chamber, and they will be happy to do it for you. She adds they are on track with entries as compared to other years.
Thousands of people will line the streets of Carroll for the 10:30 a.m. start at 9th and North Adams Streets. The route will travel south to East 7th Street and then east to North Clark Street. The bands, floats and other entries will head back north on Clark, returning to 9th Street, and then turning back to the east through Graham Park. They will continue through the park, across Grant Road to the Carroll Athletic Stadium. Entrants will be judged as they pass through Graham Park and the awards ceremony will take place immediately after the parade at the stadium.
