Traffic was stopped for a brief period Thursday afternoon in Carroll due to several vehicles having difficulties navigating a turn. Around 3 p.m. two over-sized vehicles were traveling eastbound on Highway 30 and were attempting to turn north onto Highway 71. The trucks were unable to complete the turn, and the Carroll Police Department was called to stop traffic to allow them to back up nearly a quarter mile to Heires Avenue to make a less sharp turn onto 71. Eastbound traffic on Highway 30 resumed as normal around 3:15 p.m. Thursday.
