KCS Reports Increased Enrollment For 2017/18 School Year

Coming up in October, schools must report their official enrollment numbers. President of the Kuemper Catholic School System, John Steffes, says they are seeing an increase in their numbers this school year.

Steffes says they are very excited at what this number represents.

He adds that many schools in rural Iowa are seeing either flat or declining enrollment, so they are pleased to see the increase. As school got underway with the first full week falling at the end of last month, they noticed a nice increase in the number of people who attended the now fifth year of Family Fun Knight. And a little inclement weather didn’t keep people from coming out to participate, according to Steffes.

It was fun for everyone to see the returning families meet the new ones and to share some special bonding time together over hot dogs, cotton candy and games. The annual event, started by the marketing committee, is one that Steffes says they plan on continuing well into the future.
