Jefferson Police Department Requests Warrant After Weekend Assault

An arrest warrant has been requested for a Beaver man after an incident at an apartment complex in Jefferson early Saturday morning. Eighteen-year-old James Lee Hoyle is wanted on charges of assault causing bodily injury, a class D felony. At approximately 12:06 a.m. on Sept. 2, the Jefferson Police Department was called to the Greene County Medical Center emergency room on a reported assault. After speaking with a male victim and multiple witnesses, officers learned the male had been assaulted at 305 North Wilson Ave. by Hoyle. Assault charges carry a punishment of up to five years imprisonment and as much as $7,500 in fines.
