It doesn’t take a lot of money or equipment to get active, just a commitment to make it happen. Carroll area residents are encouraged to join in the Next Step Challenge, sponsored by Live Healthy Iowa. From Sept. 11 through Oct. 20 teams of two to 10 people will compete by tracking the number of steps accumulated. Members will report their steps through an online dashboard and that will track and place the team on the challenge leaderboard. Participants have the ability to connect with Fitbit devices and Under Armour apps for easy tracking and reporting. The cost is only $10 for each team member, who will receive a Live Healthy Iowa pedometer, personal online dashboard access, weekly motivational messages, unlimited access to online tools and resources and opportunities to win team and individual prizes. Registrants will also get a free Hy-Vee supermarket tour. Registration will remain open until Sept. 18 and can be done by following the link included below.
