The most recent announcement of Country Stores of Iowa expanding into the MAC’s Corner Café space, is just another example of the changing business and residential landscape of the City of Carroll. City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver says that though some businesses are closing, it is great to see other businesses using this as opportunities to expand.
These, however, Pogge-Weaver says, are just the tip of the iceberg.
Additionally, Pogge-Weaver points out the work that has been done at Merchants Park as well as the proposed changes to the entire area to convert it to a recreation district. Work will be starting soon on the Carroll Stadium renovations and the memory care unit in the former Mallard View building is getting close to being able to accept patients. Pogge-Weaver says he believes that with the expansion and upgrades being made throughout Carroll, it will not take long before other businesses, industries and potential residents looks to make Carroll their home.
