A Manchester man sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident Friday afternoon west of Coon Rapids. At approximately 2:20 p.m., the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to Timber Ave., just south of 100th Street. The initial investigation revealed that 49-year-old Mark Edward Beckman was driving a 1981 Yamaha 1100 southbound on Timber Ave. when he lost control going around a left-hand curve. The motorcycle entered the west ditch and hit a post. There was $850 in damage to the Yamaha and Beckman was transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services for treatment of his injuries.
