The Carroll Police Department responded to reports of six different thefts occurring sometime between the evening hours of Sunday, July 23 and Monday morning, July 24. Journee Kristin Kajewski called the authorities at around 10 p.m. Sunday night to report the theft of items from her unlocked 2011 Ford Taurus. The vehicle was parked at her residence at 708 Simon Ave. Sometime between 10 a.m. on Sunday and 11:22 p.m. on Monday, Daren Joseph Overmohle also had items stolen from his vehicle, a 1995 Chevrolet K1500 pickup, parked at 253 Hillcrest Drive. The third report that came in had the victim, Mindy Sue Brower, narrow the timeframe down from 8 p.m. on Sunday to around 3:45 p.m. on Monday on the theft of items from a 2015 Toyota Camry parked at 722 Granada Road. Dave Pedelty reported an attempted theft from his vehicle at 323 Prairie View Drive at approximately 5:05 a.m. Monday and Cynthia Kay Schroder reported items missing from a 2004 Pontiac Bonneville at 406 S. Walnut Street at around 6:15 a.m. Hugo Nava-Haro also contacted authorities around 10:45 a.m. that same Monday morning to report the theft of cash and a blue bike. The Carroll Police Department says other stolen items include cash, coins, a phone charger, ear buds and other miscellaneous property.
